So let’s break this down a little, one of the biggest issues footballers face is over thinking during games, this creates hesitation and in a fast paced game there needs to be automatic decision making.
For example if I was in the same room as you, and you saw me throwing a tennis ball from one hand to the other, and then I threw the ball for you to catch without saying anything, you would I believe do one of two things, you would either catch it or move out of the way.
You wouldn’t just stop and think.
This is automatic decision making, the unconscious mind almost slows down the event and chooses an action.
